Als wir am See waren, zeigte sich schnell, warum wir allein am Strand waren: Es war windig wie Sau. Die Flamingos wurden zu Spielbällen der Lüfte, und Wellen türmten sich auf zu- zu teelichthohen Gebirgen, höchste Höhen gischtbedeckt. Ich weiß, ich übertreibe es gerade mit der Dramatik, trotzdem war es an diesem Tag nicht möglich, mit den Flamingos auf See zu fahren, ja selbst das Flamingoboot hatte seine liebe Mühe, gegen den Wind anzukommen. Und so mussten wir das Wasser vom Trocknen aus betrachten - das war sehr schade.
Aber wir werden es wieder probieren und wieder, bis die Flamingos sicher genug sind. Versprochen!

Once we got to the lake, we relealized, why we were all alone at the beach: it was freaking windy. The flamingos were flailing in the raging storm, and waves piled up to mountains as tall as - let me find something to compare with - yeah, the waves where as tall as tealight candles, the highest peaks covered in spray. I know I'm exaggerating the drama slightly, but it wasn't possible to go out to sea with the flamingos that day; even the rc flamingo had a hard time going against the wind. Well, we had to observe the water from dry land – which was a real shame.
But we'll try again and again until the flamingos are safe enough. I promise!
