Zwischen Schnee und Pfütze trieben wir uns mal wieder am kleinen, angeblich großen Hafen herum. Was mancher einen erquicklichen Spaziergang durch die pittoreske Szenerie nennen würde, erkannte ich rasch als dräuendes Unheil, denn wo Wasser ist, da ist eine flamingoreitende Swede nicht weit. Und das verhieß Bettelei, welche sich allein um die Frage drehte, ob sie – Swede – mit dem Flamingo auf dem Wasser spielen könne und, je nach Antwort meinerseits, im Gezeter endete, warum sie – auch wieder Swede - denn nicht Flamingoreiten dürfe, zumal es ziemlich gemein wäre, an ein Wasser zu gehen, ohne die Intention des Flamingoreitens.
Zum Glück hatten wir keine Flamingos dabei, sodass jedes Gezeter abgewendet war und mir auch die Angst erspart blieb, meine Töchter auf dem Wasser treiben zu sehen. So dachte ich. Und tatsächlich hatten wir keine Flamingos im Gepäck, gleichwohl kramte unser Mensch zwei Schwäne aus dem Rucksack. Wohl nur er weiß, warum er zwei aufblasbare Schwäne mit sich herumträgt; die Kinder hinterfragten das jedenfalls nicht. 🤦♂️

Between snow and puddles we werehanging around the small, supposedly large harbor once again. What some would call a refreshing stroll through the picturesque scenery, I quickly recognized as impending disaster, because where water is, a flamingo-riding Swede is not far, a fact that promised begging, which revolved solely around the question of whether she - Swede - could play with the flamingo on the water and, depending on my answer, ended in a whining about why she - Swede - was not allowed to ride a flamingo, especially since it would be pretty mean to go to a body of water without the intention of riding a flamingo.
Luckily we didn't have any flamingos with us, so any whining was averted and I was also spared the fear of seeing my daughters floating on the water. I thought so. Actually we didn't have any flamingos in our luggage, but our human dug two swans out of his backpack. Only he knows why he carries two inflatable swans with him; the cubbies didn't question it. 🤦♂️
