Auch wenn die Tage kürzer werden und der allmähliche Verfall der Natur den grausamen Winter verheißt, ist doch nicht alles schlecht am Herbst. Nein, für zwei Wochen ist der Herbst tatsächlich schön, und zwar genau dann, wenn sich die Blätter färben und die Welt noch einmal aufleuchten lässt, ehe sie für die nächsten Monate in Tristesse und Kargheit versinkt. Ebendarum ist es wichtig, diesen kurzen Moment der Schönheit zu feiern. Das wollen wir tun: mit unserer »Laubwoche«. Jeden Morgen gibt es nun die freshsten Laubbilder aus der Kamerarolle.

Den Anfang machen die Cubbies – neeein, die sind nicht alle von meinem Blut – und ich beim Spielen in den Blättern.

Auch nach all der Zeit konnten wir hier in der mittlerweile nicht mehr ganz so neuen Umgebung noch keinen Felsen oder immerhin eine Anhöhe finden, von wo aus man einen Sonnenuntergang besonders gut sehen kann. Drum mussten Niara, Tia und ich den Sonnenuntergang aus dem Gras heraus beobachten. Aber das minderte nicht die Schönheit des Moments.

After all this time, we still couldn’t find a rock or even a little elevation in this land from which we could watch the sunset. So Niara, Tia, and I had to watch the sunset from down the grass. But that didn’t diminish the beauty of the moment.

Das hältst du nich‘ aus. Da will man einfach nur auf einer sonnigen Bank am Hafen hocken, um das Treiben dort zu beobachten, und das einzige festinstallierte Sitzmöbel, das noch nicht besetzt, war jenes baumumlaufende Ding hier. Ja, man kann drauf sitzen, aber vom Hafentrubel bekommt man nicht mehr viel mit. Frechheit. Warum haben Plüschies keine eigenen Bänke? Das kann doch nicht richtig sein.

What the... You just want to sit on a sunny bench by the harbor to watch the hustle and bustle, and the only seating wasn’t occupied was this tree wrapping thing. Yes, you can sit on it, but you don’t get much of a view. It’s a disgrace. Why don’t plushies have their own benches? Can’t be right, can it?
