Am nächsten Tag ließen wir die Weinberge hinter uns und machten uns auf zu altvertrauten Gründen - das Biebricher Schloss mit seinem Park und dem nahegelegenen Rheinufer war unser Ziel. Dort wollten wir abhängen, Eis essen und Schiffe beobachten. Aber ehe all das geschehen konnte, musste es erst einmal Bilder von mir und meinem Zweitwohnsitz geben.

The next day, we left the vineyards behind and headed for familiar grounds—Biebrich Castle with its park and the nearby bonny banks of the Rhine. We wanted to hang out there, eat ice cream, and watch the ships. But before all this was going to happen, we had to take some photos of me and my second home.

Nach einem laaaangen und steinigen Abstieg umgeben von Wein und Sonne, hatten wir uns eine Erfrischung verdient. Zu unserem Glück war die Drosselgasse nicht weit, denn wenn es irgendwo Erfrischungen gab, dann hier. Swede hielt sich nicht lange an Bedenken auf - sie bestellte sich Erdbeeren mit Sahne und Eis und dazu einen prickelnden Riesling. So lässt es sich leben, auch wenn Swede den Rest des Abends nicht mehr so recht zu gebrauchen war. 🤷♂️

After a loooong and rocky descent surrounded by wine and sunshine, we deserved some refreshment. Luckily, the Drosselgasse wasn’t far away,which means a whole lotta refreshment in any corner. Swede didn’t dwell on her reservations – she ordered strawberries with cream and ice cream and a sparkling Riesling. This is life, even though Swede wasn’t really in shape for the rest of the evening. 🤷♂️
