Was zum... da ist man mal vier Wochen nicht da, um Rasen zu mähen, und was passiert? Natürlich: Das Gras wächst einem über den Kopf. Und das ist nicht bloß dahergesagt. Kopfhoch stehen die Halme, bis zum Hals stehen die Ähren, und niemand weiß, wie man das Gras wieder auf eine begehbare Höhe bekommen soll. Was für eine Sch...ande. Stellt es euch vor: Auf unserem Spaziergang durch den Schlosspark war da ein Strauch mit Blüten. Und also dachte ich bei mir, dass ein Pfoto zu machen eine lohnenswerte Sache sei. Doch kaum war ich den Blüten nahe, schossen tausende Mücken aus dem Strauch und fielen über mich her wie eine Bande hungriger Löwinnen. Sie stochen und pikten mich, bis ich mehr Beulen am Leibe hatte als ein Massageball. Kennt ihr diese piksigen Bälle? Ja? So sah ich danach aus. Und alles nur für ein Pfoto.🇬🇧What a sh...ame. Imagine that: On our walk through the castle park there was a bush with blossoms. I thought to myself taking a picture was a worthwhile endeavor. But no sooner was I near the flowers than thousands of mosquitoes shot out of the bush and attacked me like a bunch of hungry lionesses. Was auf den ersten Blick verwunschen aussieht, ist der nahegelegene Schlosspark. Wirklich wahr, hier gibt es einen Schlosspark. Bäume, Farne, Brücken und Teiche - hier gibt es alles, das ein Schlosspark haben muss, glaube ich. Natürlich weiß ich nicht, was ein Schlosspark haben muss; dieser hier hatte immerhin einen Teich und Seerosen darin und ein Entenwohnheim.🇬🇧What looks enchanted at first glance is the nearby castle park. Trust me, there is a castle park here too. Trees, ferns, bridges and ponds - I think there is everything a castle park should have. Heute, zwischen Regen und praller Sonne, streunten wir in den umliegenden Dörfern umher. Als wir vom Herumstreunen genug hatten, beschlossen wir kurzerhand, ein Picknick zu machen an einem der Picknicktische. Dummerweise verriet uns zuvor niemand, dass ein Picknick erst mit leckerem Essen und Trinken richtig Spaß macht. Also war es weniger ein Picknick als eine Rast an einem Froschteich. Heute waren wir – Niara, Mneka, Swede und ich – auf der Suche nach einem neuen Lieblingsfelsen. Ohne Erfolg. Hier ist alles so flach wie ein Pfannkuchen. Wäre die Welt nicht rund, könnte man von hier bis zu den Alpen sehen. Entweder gibt es hier gar keine Felsen oder wir haben sie noch nicht gefunden. Gewiss, wir laufen viel herum, aber oft genug verstecken wir uns auch im Rucksack unseres Menschen und lassen uns an die verschiedensten Orte tragen. Sobald wir am Ziel sind, springen wir heraus und behaupten später, wir hätten die Orte ganz allein entdeckt. Ja, genau, so machen wir das. Manchmal.
