Auf unserem Weg durch »Warme Hunde« kamen wir an allerlei Läden und Spelunken und Kaschemmen und Kombüsen vorbei und nicht zuletzt an einem Mitbringseletablissement. Neben Muscheln und Tassen und Namensschildern – für was sind Namensschilder gut? Falls man seinen Namen vergisst? – und Postkarten und sogar Plüschies. Eines von diesen – ein Tiger – klagte jämmerlich von oben herab, und Swede stieg hinauf, um zu fragen, was sein war: Er hatte Hunger.Gerade wollten wir den Tiger, Timber heißt er, von seinem Hochsitz heruntergeleiten, da kam die Ladenbesitzerin und erklärte, dass wir den Tiger zunächst bezahlen müssten, eher er uns begleiten durfte. Nagut, dachten wir – ist ja nicht unser Geld. Und nachdem unsere Menschen den Tiger freikauften, fanden wir uns alle beim Bäcker ein, um etwas zu essen.So war das.🇬🇧On our way through Warnemünde we passed all sorts of shops and bars and taverns and cabooses and last but not least a souvenir establishment. Besides shells and mugs and name tags - what are name tags good for? In case you forgot your name? – and postcards and even plushies. One of those - a tiger - wailed pitifully from above, and Swede climbed up to ask what his sorrow was: he was hungry.We were about to lead the tiger, Timber’s name, down from his perch when the shop owner came and explained that we had to pay for the tiger before he could accompany us. Hallo, hier ist eure Swede. Nach einem sooo anstrengenden Urlaubstag lagen alle schon im Bett. Aber ich durfte noch nicht schlafen, nein, ich musste erst noch ein Bild ausmalen, ehe ich schlafen durfte. Denn das war so: Es gehört wohl zur Tradition, Postkarten an seine Freude und Geliebten zu schicken, wenn man im Urlaub ist. Ich glaube, das soll die Freunde mal so richtig neidisch machen, oder so.Normalerweise gibt es da unzählige Karten in allen Größen und Motiven, aber meine Menschen dachten, es wäre eine liebliche Idee, wenn man mal eine Karte zum Selbstausmalen kaufen würde. Und ich sollte die Ausmalende sein. Das wäre nicht einmal schlimm, wenn es am Ende der Ausmalerei nicht noch Diskussionen zur Koloration gegeben hätte. Es gab Stimmen, die behaupteten, es handle sich eindeutig um ein Wassermotiv, während meine Interpretation etwas speziell ausgefallen wäre. Eben sprach ich von Wind und Wetter. Und Swede sprach davon, die Gelegenheit nicht ungenutzt zu lassen – sie wollte auf das Wasser. Wer unsere letzten Versuche kennt, die Welle zu reiten, der kann denken, wie all das Enden würde, und so haben wir das Gummiboot mit allerlei Steinen beschwert. So konnte es zwar nicht mehr kentern, aber schwimmen wollte es auch nicht mehr so recht. Immerhin wurde niemand nass bei der Kälte, und abgesehen von umherfliegendem Seegras, blieben wir alle unversehrt.🇬🇧I was just talking about wind and weather. Die Sonne schien und machte den Winter einigermaßen ertragbar. Wir machten uns also auf den Weg nach Warme Hunde, fuhren mit der Fähre, jagten Möwen, besuchten dieses Haus, das aussieht wie ein Rochen, Swede durfte ein Eis – ihre Worte, nicht meine.Aber das war nicht bloß ein Eis, das war gekühlte Poesie: Das softig aufdressierte Eis wurde vor dem Verzehr in flüssige Schokolade getaucht. Und wisst ihr, was dann geschah? Die Schokolade erstarrte vor Schreck, und heraus kam eine zart knackende Haube. Lecker!🇬🇧The sun was shining and made the winter somewhat bearable.
