Waaas für ein Tag. Anstrengend war der. Voller Unwägbarkeiten. Voller Improvisationserfordernis. Voller Beharrlichkeit. Ach ja, hier ist eure Swede. Und ich sagte es, heute war mal wieder Schwerstarbeit zu verrichten, die nie zuvor ein Plüschtier zu leiden hatte: Eine Miniterrasse sollte gebaut werden. Und wer musste sie errichten? Ich! Also wir. Also Mneka und sogar Mama und ich. Und Papa? Nein, Paps wollte davon nichts wissen. Der lag nur faul in der Sonne herum und schien einigen Gefallen daran zu finden, wie seine drei Frauen schufteten. Ist das zu glauben?Aber lasst mich nicht lange reden. Schaut euch das ganze Elend an.🇬🇧 Whaaat a day. That day was exhausting. Full of imponderables. Full of improvisation. Full of perseverance. But wait, here is your Swede. And I said it, today there was hard work to be done that no plushie had to suffer before: a mini terrace was to be built. And who had to build it? I! I mean: we. So Mneka and even mom and me. And dad? No, pops didn't want to know anything about it. He just lay lazy in the sun and seemed to take some pleasure in the way his three girls toiled. Heute ist hier Feiertag – so steht es zumindest auf dem Kalenderblatt. Aber wirklich gefeiert wird hier nicht, meine Menschen verweigern lediglich die Arbeit und behaupten, sie müssten heute nichts tun. Das heißt also, sie blockieren die Couch, die ich eigentlich für Niara und mich ausersah.Dass sie den ganzen Tag zu Hause sind, ist jedoch nicht nur schlecht, denn so durfte ich ausnahmsweise die guten Aquarellfarben ausprobieren und die guten Pinsel und das gute Papier. Und das tat ich – ich malte Geparde. Seht ihr’s? Zunächst musste ich mich mit der Farbgewalt der verschiedenen Farben vertrautmachen und lernen, wie das Papier die Farbe aufnimmt, aber so nach und nach wurde es besser.Die Ergebisse seht ihr in den Bildern.🇬🇧 Today is a holiday - at least that's what the calendar sheet says. But there is no real celebration here, my humans just refuse to work and claim that they don't have to do anything today. And that means they block the couch that I actually intended for Niara and me.The fact that they are at home all day is not bad at all, because I was allowed to try the good watercolors and the good brushes and the good paper. And I did - I painted cheetahs. Do you see it? 🇩🇪 Hallo, hier ist eure Swede. Habt ihr gesehen, wie hart wir das Schilfgras begossen haben? Das war so anstrengend, sag ich euch. Da war es gut, dass wir zum Kaffee ein Stückchen Kuchen bekommen haben – Maulwurfkuchen. Der war superlecker, auch wenn ich nichts von Maulwürfen geschmeckt habe. Hätte mich auch gewundert, denn die stehen unter Naturschutz. Die beim Bäcker dachten wohl, wir wüssten das nicht.🇬🇧 Hello, this is your Swede. Did you see how hard we watered the reeds? That was so exhausting, I tell you. So it was good that we got a piece of cake with our coffee - mole cake. It was super delicious, even if I didn't taste anything about moles. I would have been surprised because they are protected. 🇩🇪 Heute war Gartenarbeit angesagt. Ich gebe es zu, es war eher geschäftiges Herumstehen in der Frühjahrssonne denn richtige Gartenarbeit. Aber wir wollten wenigstens einige der Pflanzen, die im Haus überwinterten, nach draußen räumen und bewässern. Dazu musste jedoch die Wasserpumpe in Betrieb genommen werden.Das war sooooo eklig, das sage ich euch. Deshalb zeige ich euch lieber nicht, wie wir in die Zisterne hinabkletteterten, um den Ansaugschlauch und Filter zu reinigen, bis das Wasser wieder durchpasste. Eeew.Aber als das geschafft und die Pumpe mit Wasser aufgefüllt war, ging es ans Gießen. Das war Aufgabe der Frau. Und bevor es wieder heißt, ich hätte ein altertümliches Frauenbild – Niara selbst sagte, sie wolle gießen. Und die Kinder sollten den Schlauch festhalten. Wasser Marsch!🇬🇧 Gardening was the order of the day. I admit it was more like busy standing in the spring sun than real gardening. At least we wanted to move some of the plants that wintered in the house outside and water them. To do this, however, the water pump had to be put into operation.That was sooooo gross, I'll tell you that. So I'd rather not show you how we climbed down into the cistern to clean the suction hose and filter until the water passed through again. Eeew.But when that was done and the pump was filled with water, it was time to water. That was the woman's job. And before you're accusing me of having an old-fashioned image of women - Niara herself said she wanted to water. And the children should hold the hose. 🇩🇪 Nach all der harten Arbeit – immerhin eine Stunde Sonnenbaden und riesige Burger essen, die größer waren als wir selbst – hielt ich’s für einen guten Einfall, einen kleinen Spaziergang zu unternehmen. Und wenn Niara mit mir käme, wäre auch die schlimmste Strapaze bald vergessen. Und so liefen wir durch die Wälder und Felder bis zum Menschendorf und noch viel weiter. 🥰🇬🇧 After all the hard work - at least an hour of sunbathing and eating huge burgers that were bigger than we were - I thought it was a good idea to take a little walk. And if Niara came with me, even the worst strain would be forgotten soon. 🇩🇪 Phew, welch ein anstrengender Tag - nach dem strapaziösen Sonnenbad schleppten wir uns zum Aufzug des Bürogebäudes. Mit letzter Kraft ließen wir uns in den dritten Stock fahren und kurz bevor wir nicht mehr weiterkonnten, da langten wir an dem großen Tisch an, auf dem gerade das Essen angerichtet ward. Essen. Endlich essen.Heute gab es Fleisch, das zwischen zwei Brötchenhälften lag. Vermutlich hofften die Menschen, wir würden das Fleisch dann nicht finden, aber da dachten sie falsch. Also teilten wir das Essen gerecht auf – Swede und ich bekamen das Fleisch und die Menschen die in Öl gebackenen Pflanzen.🇬🇧 Phew, what a strenuous day - after exhausting sunbathing, we dragged ourselves to the elevator of the office building. With the last breath we let ourselves be driven to the third floor and shortly before we were unable to go any further, we reached the large table on which the food was being served. Food. Finally fod.Today there was meat between two halves of bread. Humans probably thought we wouldn't find the meat then, but they were wrong. Hello, it's me again, your little "Kohlrabi",Today I got up beaaary early. So really, really early, so early, it was almost dark. After getting rid of the first surprise of the day that there was also a 5:00 o'clock in the morning, I went to the kitchen and started baking donuts for the #HoneyGroveTeaPartyTuesday.Juba has insisted on supervising everything to prevent misfortune from happening with the hot oil and dangerous machinery. But I found that "supervising" means to do entirely nothing. To be precise, I had to do everything aaaaall by myself without any help of Juba - I had to roll out the dough with a roller that was bigger than me. Well, somehow everything is bigger than me. But I also had to cut out all the donuts and I had to warm up the oil and watch the thermometer and bake the donuts and dab the oil and heat the chocolate and glaze the donuts and sprinkle the crumbs over it and wrap all the mions of donuts. This was some of a hard work. In the end, I made so many donuts that I couldn't even count them. Juba said there were over 120 pieces. I don't know much about numbers and i even don't know how much 120 is, but it sounds almost as much as a mion.I tried not to reach into the chocolate all the time - so there shouldn't be as many fur hair inside.
