Um Kosten zu sparen, wurde mir gesagt, ich solle die nächsten sechs Monate die Bauabnahme machen. Wie ich mir erklären ließ, geht es bei der Bauabnahme nicht darum, jemandem das Bauen abzunehmen oder darum, jemandem den Bau abzunehmen, nein, es geht darum den Bau abzunehmen. Das hieß, ich sollte prüfen, ob das Haus alle Ecken hat, die es haben soll; ob alle Löcher für die späteren Fenster drinnen sind; ob alle Rohre am richtigen Fleck und alle Durchgänge an Deck sind. Als ich auf den eklatanten Mangel des fehlenden Daches hinwies, wurde ich mit rollenden Augen des Amtes enthoben. Frechheit. Das ist der Dank dafür, wenn man seine Arbeit gewissenhaft verrichtet.🇬🇧To save costs, I was told to do the building inspection in the next six months. That meant I should check that the house had all the corners it was supposed to have; whether all the holes for the later windows are inside; whether all pipes are in the right place and all doors are spared out. When I pointed out the glaring deficiency of the missing roof, I was removed from office with rolling eyes. Pah.
