Heute ist der Tag! Heute ist unser Tag – Internationaler Gepardentag. Das ist der Tag, an dem sich jeder Gepard auf Pfoten tragen lassen darf. Mancher mag es, wenn er mit Trauben gefüttert wird. Mancher mag eine Pfotenmassage. Wiederum andere lieben gutes Essen oder wollen bloß faul herumliegen, während man jeden Wunsch von von des Faulenzers schwarzen Lippen abliest. Wenn ihr also einen Geparden zu Hause habt, dann lasst ihm heute jede erdenkliche Annehmlichkeit zukommen.

Und ihr Geparde da draußen – genießt euren Tag!

Freilich ist es leicht, sich zwischen die Gräser zu hocken, aber es ist nicht einfach, unbemerkt darin zu verweilen. Denn die Rispen sind windanfällig; selbst der kleinste Hauch lässt sie wanken, und das bedeutet, sie schlagen dem Verborgenen unentwegt in die Augen, kriechen in die Nüstern, kitzeln an den Ohren – ohne Witz, das ist zum Wahnsinnigwerden. Zwar weiß ich schon, was darinnen ist, aber ich habe keine Ahnung, wie es aussehen wird.Wisst ihr noch, wie Chee und ich – ganz allein – in dem großen Erdbärladen waren und eine Tasse bemalt haben? Das Malen ist die eine Sache, aber ehe solch eine Tasse überhaupt zum Trinken geeignet ist, muss sie noch einmal in den Ofen, bei 30°C oder so, damit sie fest wird. Das ist so ähnlich wie mit Fischstäbchen – erst sind sie kalt und fest, tauen auf und sind labberig, später sind sie heiß und knusprig oder einfach nur schwarz. Hallo, hier ist eure Swede. Heute ist ja Halloween, das gemeinhin ein Einlass ist, zu dessen Zwecke die Behausung und auch sich selbst recht hübsch schauerlich zu schmücken sei. Aber da unsere Menschen - und das ist nicht minder gruslig - von einem ungeheuer gefräßigen Müßiggang angefallen wurden und sich seitdem nicht mehr aus den Fängen befreien konnten, mochte sich niemand zum Kürbislaternenschnitzen aufraffen. Ungeheuerlich. Und also lag das gesamte dekorative Wirken bei uns.Man kann denken, wie schwierig das Kürbislaternenschnitzen ohne Hilfe beim Schnitzen würde, drum haben wir uns entschlossen, das zu tun, was wir am besten können: Improvisieren. Und so wurde nicht geschnitzt, dafür gebastelt, bis der Heißkleber Fäden zog.Und da sind sie nun, unsere Kürbisse, die sich noch nicht entscheiden konnten, ob sie nun Pacman-Geister sein wollen oder aus dem „Zauber von Oz“ entsprungen sind.🇬🇧Hello, here is your Swede.
