The weather is gray and wet - hard to say wether it is already light or dawning. What else can you do but take a pen or brush and paint? So I thought it was time for a redraw again. How about Niara with last year's flower wreath? Incidentally, that fits in great with @tas.illustrations's #tas800follows challenge.
At that time (last year) I desperately colored with the treacherous colors of a kid's paint box to get some practice; this time I wanted to use the way better watercolors. This time it should also be more contrasting and also appear more experienced. Well, when it comes to the experienced look, it was probably not a success - I have no idea what it is; at the moment the brush strokes slip away as if they were eels in the water. There are some nice spots in the drawing, but there are some that I don't like.
Well, it is, what it is - keep practicing instead of complaining.

Das Wetter ist so grau und nass, dass ein Blick hinaus nicht klar sagen lässt, ob es schon hell wurde oder bereits der Abend dämmert. Was kann man da anderes tun, als Stift und Pinsel zu nehmen und zu malen?
Ich dachte, es sei mal wieder Zeit für ein Redrawing. Wie wäre es mit Niara mit dem Blumenkranz aus dem letzten Jahr? Das passt, ganz nebenbei, auch großartig zu @tas.illustrations s #tas800follows-Challenge.
Damals noch krampfhaft mit den tückischen Farben eines Malkastens koloriert, wollte ich dieses Mal die Aquarellfarben nehmen. Dieses Mal sollte es auch kontrastreicher sein und auch geübter erscheinen. Nun, was das Geübertererscheinen angeht, war’s wohl kein Erfolg – keine Ahnung, woran es liegt; momentan entgleiten mir die Striche, als wären es Aale im Wasser. Zwar gibt es schöne Ecken an dem Bild, aber auch einige, die mal wieder nicht gelangen.
Sei es drum – weiterüben, anstatt weitermeckern.
