Erinnert ihr euch noch an Swedes ersten Entwurf eines ferngesteuerten Flamingos? Und wisst ihr noch, wie sie neulich die Bootshülle geschenkt bekam? Nun, es mussten weitere vier Wochen ins Land gehen, bis mein Mensch die Motoren eingebaut bekam, und weitere drei Wochen gingen dahin, ehe das Wetter mitspielte - beim ersten Versuch, das Boot im Briesensee zu launchen fiel richtig ins Regenwasser, so auch beim zweiten Anlauf, beim dritten Mal war der See voller als der Mond. Aber heute ist es so weit. Heute ist der Tag.Hoffentlich! Hoffentlich ist heute der Tag, denn niemand hat das Boot vorher getestet - nur einmal für zwei Sekunden liefen die Motoren im Trocknen. Wird es schwimmen? Wie schnell wird es sein? Wird es nach fünf Sekunden untergehen? Ist genug Schmierstoff in den Lagern? Niemand weiß es. Aber wir finden es jetzt heraus! Schnallt euch an!Hier kommt Swedes „Flamingo Rocket“🇬🇧Do you remember Swede's first design of a remote-controlled flamingo floatie? And do you remember how she was given the boat's hull as a gift recently? Well, it took another four weeks for my hyooman to get the engines installed, and another three weeks went by before the weather cooperated - the first time we tried to launch the boat in the lake, we fell into the rain just like the second time, and the third time the lake was full of swimmers and cubbies. But today's the day!Hopefully! Hopefully today's the day, because no one has tested the boat before - the engines only ran once for two seconds in dry conditions. But will it float? How fast will it go? Will it sink after five seconds? Is there enough lubricant in the bearings? Noone knows. But we're going to find out now! Ja, ist das denn die Möglichkeit? Während die Kinder am großen Wasser waren, wollten Niara und ich sehen, wie weit der Hausbau fortgeschritten ist und ob wir denn nächste Woche einziehen könnten. Und das taten wir auch.Die Frage, ob wir den Möbelwagen beauftragen könnten, ward mit lautem Lachen erwidert. Ohne Putz und ohne Heizung und ohne sanitäre Einrichtungen, so die Kernaussage, würde Wohnen einermaßen beschwerlich, von den vielen Rohren und Kabeln auf dem Boden ganz abgesehen. Wir sollten in fünf Monaten noch einmal fragen.Das klingt doch gut! Ich habe zwar keine Ahnung, wie lang fünf Monate sind, aber lang kann es ja nicht mehr sein. Hallo meine Lieben, hier ist eure sweete Swede. Ich weiß, dies ist der Account von meinem Paps, und mancher fragt sich längst, warum Juba in keinem der letzten zehn Posts zu sehen war. Wie ihr wisst, ließ es das Zugreisegepäck nicht zu, sechs Plüschies mitzuführen, stattdessen bekam Tia den Vorzug, den Urlaub zu begleiten. Und weil wir am Tag unserer Abreise recht früh auf den Beinen waren, hatte Tia den Warnemünder Hafen mehr oder weniger für sich, gemessen am üblichen Gewühl zur Hauptverkehrszeit. Das gab ihr Gelegenheit für ein paar ungestörte Bilder.Weniger Leute auf der Straße bedeuteten freilich nicht weniger verwunderte Blicke. Ja, die Warnemünder Besucher und Anwohner sind den Anblick von Leoparden nicht gewohnt. Ob am Molenfeuer, am Strand, am Leuchtturm oder bei Tisch zum Tee, die Leute mussten immer wieder und gleich dreimal hinsehen, ob das jetzt stimmt. Und da Tia in keine Tasche passt, muss sie halt im Arm getragen werden. Ist nun einmal so.Aber nun genug gequatscht! I know this is dad’s account, and some might've been wondering why Juba hasn’t shown up in any of the last ten posts. As you know, the train luggage didn’t allow us to take six plushies with us, so Tia was given the privilege of accompanying on vacation. And because we were up quite early on the day of our departure, Tia had the Warnemünde harbor more or less to herself, compared to the usual rush hour crowds. That gave her the opportunity to take undisturbed pictures.However, fewer people didn’t mean fewer surprised looks at all. In fact, Warnemünde visitors and residents aren’t used to seeing leopards - whether at the pier light or on the beach or at the lighthouse or at the table for tea, strollers had to look three times to believe if they really saw a leopardess at the beach. But as long as Tia doesn’t fit in a bag, she has to be carried in the human’s arms. That’s just the way it is.But enough chatting! Hallo, hier ist eure Swede. Ich erzählte vorhin, wie stürmisch die See in diesen Tagen war - sozusagen aufbrausend, ungehalten, schäumend vor Wut, aufgewühlt - und wie wenig klug ein Ritt auf den Flamingos wäre. Das war ungelogen ungelogen, denn Tia musste uns festhalten, sonst wären wir vom Winde verweht, zumindest aber wie ein Stück Tumbleweed über den Sand gerollt worden. Das Leben als kleines Plüschie ist nicht leicht - ich sag's euch.🇬🇧Hello, this is your Swede. Hallo, hier ist eure supersweete Swede, und ich weiß genau, was ihr denkt: Da ist die Plüschbande wieder einmal an der Ostsee – also wo sind die Flamingovideos? Und allzu gern würden wir euch Videos zeigen, wie wir furchtlos auf den Wellen reiten, aber leider ist die See seit Tagen aufgewühlt. Schon der Versuch, die Wellen zu reiten, würden die Flamingos und Schwäne auf die Seite legen – das lässt Tia nicht zu.Da wir sonst nichts Besseres wussten, mussten wir mal wieder den kleinen, langgezogenen Brunnen in der hinteren Gasse von Warnemünde fürliebnehmen – das Wasser dort ist nicht ganz so mitreißend. Sei’s drum! Wichtig ist allein, dass der Flamingo ins Wasser kommt.🇬🇧Hello, this is your super sweet Swede, and I know what you’re thinking: The plush bunch is at the Baltic Sea - so where are the flamingo floating videos? And we would love to show you videos fearlessly riding the waves, but unfortunately the sea has been rough for days. Just trying to ride the waves would make the flamingos and swans keel over - Tia won’t allow that.Since we didn’t know anything better, we had to deal with the small, narrow fountain in a back alley of Warnemünde - well, the water isn’t quite as exciting.
